Thrifted Bakery is a Latina-owned home bakery founded by Jessica Lynn Barrios. Jessica is a computer science major who combined her passion for technology and love for baking to create this site. She decided to put her tech skills to creating this website, not only to have a project to help her apply for graduate schools, but also to grow her business.
Jessica dreams of opening her own cafe and bakery, where good coffee and delicious sweet treats can help students and workers alike power through those tough study and work sessions!
As a first-generation college student, she comes from a line of hard-workers, who sacrificed their own dreams to get her where she is. While running this business and working two part-time jobs, she is also a full-time college student preparing to become the first in her family to pursue a Master’s degree. Her long-term dream is to open a family-run restaurant for her parents, fulfilling their lifelong wish to have a business of their own.
